Film Forum is the place to be this weekend, what with this Saturday matinée, and Sunday's 'Parallax View'. A pretty-much-perfect caper heist movie from Peter Yates, after 'Bullitt' and right before shooting 'The Friends of Eddie Coyle'. None..more..cool. The only other person I 'know' who loves this picture is Steven Soderbergh, who screens it once a year as a pick-me-up. It's influence is all over the 'Ocean' movies. And now Ms Garofalo. The word spreads. Redford's Park Avenue strut at the end is pretty much how i'd like to go out of this world ![]() Thanks to that pesky Atlantic Ocean, my Fox DVD will have to suffice this weekend... |
