Where is a good source to find info on movies making bluray status, I know here is a great source Im curious as to before its official.

I would love to see both of these movies released on Blu. The first one is cool, and has a lot of great moments, but I grew up watching "Eddie Lives!", and the only way that was even released in the U.S. was on the B-side for the original, in a recent "flipper-disc" DVD release. John Cafferty's music rocks!

It was in HD on cable last night but I didn't check it out. If it looks as good as I think it probably did, they'll probably take that master, change it to 1080p,and release a Blu-ray with that master.

This is such a huge cult film and it has popular music (at least is was popular at one time), you'd think it'd be a no-brainer compared to much of the schlock that does get released.

It would be really awesome to see this get a royal treatment kind of release, but hell, I'll just take an HD upgrade along with remastered sound!

Both Cruisers and the sequel Eddie Lives would be awesome to have on Blu in a double feature (or even as separate releases).

The original Eddie and the Cruisers was great, and it definitely deserves a Blu release...the soundtrack was excellent, especially since it was all original rock music...

I felt that the 2nd film (Eddie Lives) was just OK; I first saw it several years back, and it didn't make much of an impression on me, other than that there were continuity issues between the 1st & 2nd film...The only thing I really remember from the 2nd film was Eddie's GF's art studio; she drew a lot of pictures that used primarily red & green (I think)...but, I remember nothing about the music in the 2nd film...

I think Part 2 was a better story than 1 actually. They just put a out a new double DVD release in November, I wonder if there's any improvement over the 2008 release.

I thought the second was terrible, but that double feature also came out on Blu-ray in April of this year. I just sold off my DVD on ebay so I'm about to convert over now...lol and I'm stuck owning 2.
