I'm thinking about replacing my 5.1 setup in my living room with a 2.1 sound bar. This is currently our main place for watching movies, tv, gaming etc. The problem is I'm getting sick of seeing the orgy of wires behind my TV stand. We have an open concept living area and I also have no desire to start drilling holes to run wires. My plan is to do all that right when I eventually finish our basement and pull this stuff out of storage and possible upgrade to 7.1 or whatever.
Now that I've finished trying to explain myself. How bad will the sound be with a sound bar? For someone who is admittedly not an audiophile, should I be able to make do with one for now. My speaker setup now isn't ideal to begin with because of the open concept and seating positions. |
