Question Trouble Remembering An Old Film, Can Anyone Help?

Just watching War of The Worlds (1953) and I have been reminded of a film I saw once in my childhood.

IIRC the film I am very vaguely remembering is in Black and White and there is something to do with a farm house and possibly an Alien ship landing in a field near by.

I think the people (maybe a child) from the farm wonder into the field and find a hole which leads to tunnels and a possible Alien ship or underground community.

Sorry I can't be more specific and to be perfectly honest I can't say for sure how accurate any of the above info is as I'm having a real senior moment.

Thanks in advance

Original INVADERS FROM MARS might be it, though that is in color, and 3d too I think.

Oh man, Invaders From Mars! I remember that! I also remember seeing it in black and white. Perhaps one of the common masters used was done in black and white for some reason (Well if it was made for B&W TV's...).

What was that hilarious pseudoscience explanation for what the aliens were doing? Something to do with digging with microwaves or some nonsense?
