Always liked Mark Hamill and he has had a great career doing voices for cartoons but I always thought it was sad that he never was taken seriously as an actor nor has received many roles besides Star Wars. His only main other roles have been Corvette Summer, The Big Red One, The Night the Lights Went out in Georgia and his last serious role in a big Hollywood movie was Village of the Damned.
The new Star Wars movie is awesome for Hamill, but does anyone think he'll at least get some side roles with some bigger Hollywood films or respectable directors? He has evolved into a very entertaining character actor with his cartoon voice work and he was the only excellent thing in the awful B-movie Sushi Girl. I understand that his accident may have changed his career but he doesnt even look bad at all especially when someone like Mickey Rourke got another chance with his plastic face. Does anyone think Hamill will get some decent roles after the new Star Wars or is he just going to continue with the cartoons and B movies? At least one or two films. For example, it was awesome when Peter Weller got cast as a leading villain in the last Star Trek film. He's disappeared again but it was great to see him return in a huge role.
