Default Who is buying Harry Potter?

I personally have no interest in Harry Potter. I read the first four books and I was never impressed with the movies. I have no plans to buy this. I have read many posts where people claim the sales of these titles may be definitive of Warner's choice.

If Blu beats HD DVD flat out like always then I would imagine Warner going Blu exclusive. If they come close to beating Blu or actually beat Blu then I see Warner continuing their daring strategy of "wait and see."

That being said, I wanna see how many people are actually gonna buy this.

I'm buying all five separately. I love the books, and the movies are pretty good. Like anything else, not as good as the books, but I still enjoy them a lot.

First and foremost I am getting LOST season 3 my most anticipated title of the year.

But I am also buying all 5 Potter films individually. I would love to get Masters Of Horror Vol 4 but that's going to have to wait for another day

I want to purchase the set, but knowing they are making another 2 movies. This is deterring me. I might pick them up separate. If I can ignore that they are released and I do enjoy these movies and hold out till they release the other two I will do that. More then likely by Christmas I will own all 5.

Yeah, I am so excited for LOST on blu! I can't wait for announcement of Season's 1 and 2.

I am also getting all the Harry Potter's seperately. I think I will hit a total of about 120 blu's this Christmas.

I'm buying the discs separately for customs purposes and because I didn't want the US Sorcerer's Stone edition. Because the poll is broken however I selected the box set to indicate I'm getting all 5 discs. Most of them actually shipped on Wednesday last week, so I'm looking forward to getting them .

just curious as to why people would buy all FIVE blu-rays individually? At $25 a piece thats $125. The box set can be had for around $80. Am I missing something here?

1 - There are 2 more movies coming out.
2 - People are anal and want BD cases and not cardboard cases.
3 - They think that each separate movie counts towards Nielson numbers.

Personally, I don't care. I will make my own cases

I really dont think HP will be the straw that determines WB's stance on HD vs BD...I think they have already made up their minds.

HP HATER! j/k

I will admit it's weird seeing Harry so young in the first film and gradually getting older.

I slightly doubt that HP is not really going to be determinig in wb going blu.

Still, given the review for The movies In this forum, I canceled my order for the collectors set- the one I so hard had tried to get and had saved for.

If there isn't another bogo with fox' or sony' titles, this is going to be one heck of a christmas.

HD DVD has had some momentum lately. I don't think Warner cares but if HD DVD beats Blu on Harry Potter (or even comes very close to beating Blu with like 45% sales or somethin) then Warner might decide to wait a little longer and see where HD DVDs momentum takes it.
