TRON: Legacy 3D Blu-ray

Didn't like the first film so it's unlikely I'll like the remake.

Any sign of a separate Tron release?
Or will Disney do what they did with Fantasia 2000, only release info of a separate set a week or two after double pack release....

I'll probably just order the double pack.

Double pack if there's no separate release of the original though it deserves one.

The title of this thread needs to be change, because they're come out in April, not March.

There will aslo be a seperate release of the original Tron, so you need to add a link there.

The links above for Play.com are now back to showing Coming Soon.

I can't wait to pick the 3D version up.

I only saw the original Tron before I went to see Tron Legacy and enjoyed it, but do you think they've restored it for Blu-Ray release?? I was blown away by Tron Legacy so I can imagine the Blu-Ray will be amazing!!

Can't wait for Tron Legacy on blu-ray. Will be just the 'double play' for me since I haven't jumped on the 3D train yet, and I'll wait for a separate Tron release. Hope we get some better artwork though.

Still haven't seen Tron Legacy yet unfortunately. Don't 3D Blu-Rays also play in 2D? What's the point in also putting another blu-ray in then? I'll get the double pack but I wish it had the 3D disc because I will pick up a 3DTV eventually.

Because often a lot of special features are missing from the 3D BD, sometimes due to space constraints. The 2D Blu-ray includes all the special features.

It's not a remake. IT'S A SEQUEL!!!

So, the only way to get a digital copy, would be to buy the 3D set, even though some of us haven't jumped to 3D yet? Thats a bit sh*t to be honest.

But I loved Tron Legacy, so the double play has been added to the wish list, until a steelbook shows up that is!

Is it advisable to watch the original before seeing the sequel? I'm thinking about going to watch Legacy tonight.

I saw the sequel last month without seeing the original and understood it perfectly. I think if you've seen the original you'd be able to connect the two, but everything about the origainl appears to be explained in teh sequel. So there's no need to see the first one, first.

This is what I assumed would happen. I mean I can't imagine anyone making a film and then making a sequel 28 years later with no explanation as to what is going on haha!

Amazon says 11th April.

Dissapointed about the artwork though, I hope that changes. It would be great if they used the Sam and Quorra poster for the cover.

People seemed to be confused. It's only a sequel if it's a new story. It's not, it's just a rehash with a few of the same people and CGI.

BTW, for those with humour bypasses -I'm not saying it's literally a remake, it's just an opinion about what the film really is if you look.
