Default Camino lost in ether?

Okay... Camino with Zoe Bell. Where'd it go? What happened to the BD release? Looked like a cool movie, was announced on disc and never came out - at least not that I can find anyway. Whats the poop? Anyone have info?

You mean this film?

It's already out and you can watch it on Netflix.

Ohhh. My bad. I didn't read the entire post, I thought you were just looking for an overall release date so you can watch it!

I remember this was in theaters here for week, and I didn't get to see it. I'm very interested in it. Will be checking it out soon online.

I posted on the distribution company's Facebook page asking about a physical release. We'll see what they have to say.

What we all have to realize is that this is (unfortunately) a hit driven business. It doesn't pay for most small films to issue a physical disc because the sales are so meager. It's much easier and less expensive for them to simply license it out to the various online distribution services. They get less per unit, but there's little to no investment.

In 2015, the 100th best selling Blu-ray title sold 1/4 of 1% of the best selling title. Once you get past the top 200, there's almost no sales. Would a title like this even be in the top 200? the top 500? The top 100 titles constituted 55% of all unit sales and 70% of all dollars (in the U.S.). If a retailer sold only the top 200 titles, they'd probably get 80% of the business that a retailer who had 20,000 titles would achieve.

In a typical single week, the 20th best selling title sells only 3% of what the top title sells. Now imagine what the 100th best selling title sells. The 200th. And then you have to say, "why bother?"

Well, in theory, I get that but there are far far worse films that come out and don't have the interest this film does.

Ah, devil ether. It makes you behave like the village drunkard in some early Irish novel. Total loss of all basic motor function. Blurred vision, no balance, numb tongue. The mind recoils in horror, unable to communicate with the spinal column. Which is interesting because you can actually watch yourself behaving in this terrible way, but you can’t control it.
