Default Resident Evil PiP problems?

Well my last thread I created turned out to be a repost, but looking again I don't see this mentioned -

That rdjam guy is spreading this crap claiming that Blu-ray PiP is broken because of a review here -

http://dvd.themanroom.com/news/Hands...xtinction/1842

The guy clearly mentions that he thinks it's either a missed feature, or that he might not just know how to adjust the audio with the remote, so I thought I'd post here to see if there's anyone that has played with the movie that can tell which it is so we can shut him up?

Edit: Not sure if it's rdjam or not, but I think that's one of the name's he uses on hidefdigest etc.

Its the first disc, so if there are a few flaws, its understandable.
And they way the article was wrote, they guy didn't even seem sure it was user error or Sony's fault.

I'm curious to see how 3:10 to yuma's extras are, even though I never watch/use the extras.

and welcome to the forums.

This is guy is an idiot. PiP works flawlessly as reported by this very website as seen here: https://www.blu-ray.com/news/?id=765
A ps3 was also used as the player in this case. Why would someone publish a story like that when it only makes him seem clueless to technology?

Pretty sure the PIP stuff makes the film 2.0 unfortunately. Maybe down the road they'll be able to fix it.

No, PiP is profile 1.1 aka bonus view. v2.0 is optional and adds online capabilities to the film.

I wrote the article at TMR and wasn't saying PiP is "broken" at all. I said the implementation could have been better as the automatic switching back and forth between 2.0 and 5.1 audio with no manual control over which audio steam is playing wasn't enjoyable for me. That's how I felt using it. You may feel differently after using it, and that's fine.

Bac, what kind of audio setup do you have? Are you using HDMI or optical for audio?

Well, if someone turns on the PiP feature then one can assume that they would want to listen to the commentary when appropriate so automatic switching makes perfect sense. If they didn't want to hear all the behind the scenes stuff why select the PiP option instead of just the regular movie?

Does it switch from 5.1 channels to 2.0 channels and back to 5.1 channels (when the commentary is over) or does it stay 2.0 all the way? Not sure, and I do not have an optimal setup to find out.

Very likely they will eventually fix it in future firmware versions.

There is no flaw and I repeat, no flaw with this title. It works perfectly as I have tested it several times on my PS3.
