I've noticed that people generally sell TV or movie codes for Google Play for cheaper than UV or iTunes. Any particular reason for this? My guess is that people are less likely to use the Google Play codes either because they in the Apple ecosystem or because UV codes are compatible with multiple apps. Is that all there is to it? Are the Google Play codes in HD? Thanks.

GooglePlay works on your youtube account also. I've bought Game of Thrones S1-4, True Detective S1 plus Sopranos and The Wire Complete Series and they all can be watched on my TV through youtube so if I can get them cheap I'll go this route.

There's also a Google Play channel on the Roku.

Google Play also plays in HD on all Android devices that have full HD support; that's not true of all UV HD titles, though support is growing (Flixster, CinemaNow, Nook, and in some cases Paramount Movies all now offer HD playback on Android for some titles). DMA also plays in HD on Android as Google Play is a retailer.

Not all Youtube apps are created equal across devices. Most of mine that have Youtube, either play in very, very low quality, or not at all (as if the device manufacturer has deliberately disabled your purchased/redeemed videos from playing.)

Yes, the developers were considering it:
https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...3&postcount=13 Couldn't hurt to bump that topic again. ![]() The more support that is shown by members for the addition of Google Play, the more likely we'll be to see it added. Last edited by Evil; 08-24-2015 at 09:30 AM. |
