You probably remember the horrific cave-in that took place at the San Jose mine in Chile five years ago. 33 miners were trapped below ground, and the world looked on and hoped as rescue teams worked for 69 days to rescue them. Miraculously, the entire group survived, and now their incredible story is being brought to the big screen the film still looks to tell a frightening, claustrophobic and emotional tale, detailing the time the miners spent below ground, as well as efforts of the families and rescue crews above.



Stars Antonio Banderas, Lou Diamond Phillips, Rodrigo Sandoro, Juan Pablo Raba, Gabriel Byrne and Juliette Binoche.

Directed by Patricia Riggen.

THE 33 is set for release in Chle on August 6th. No word of a U.S. release date as of yet.

Alcon Entertainment has acquired North American distribution rights and Warner Bros will release the film on (November 13, 2015 )

Thought this was going to be a completely Spanish movie

I caught this one last night had a free movie ticket someone from work gave me plus it had to be used by yesterday so i checked this one out. It's actually a solid movie and its mostly in english only a couple of times when they speak spanish the subtitles appear but not much though.

I had a feeling this would be pretty solid. I wish I could get to the theater to see it, but unlikely unfortunately. Still, looking forward to seeing it whenever it comes to Netflix or HBO or even BD.
