South Korea Help finding korean blu's in seoul

Hi guys, so next week i'm going to South Korea for 2 months (yay me), and I know that most my money will go on food, soju, and probably of course Korean movies - anyone got an address, and directions in Seoul to a blu shop? I would appreciate it :-)

I only went to the Techno Mart in Gangnam as I did not have time to search for others.

Same place. I just call it Dong Seoul cuz there's where I get off at the bus stop and it's right next to Tech Mart.

Ok, so 4 days until I leave Australia for my 2 month Korean experience (just a little excited), and was wondering to get to Tech Mart and Dong Seoul (Seoul Selection) can anyone tell me which subway line to take and where to get off?

The subway system is really user friendly there (I lived in Korea for about 7 years) and most people are eager to help. For blu's go to the sprawling Yongsan Jun-ja Sang-ga (Yongsan Electronics Market). Takes hours to see just a slice of it, but worth it.

I love that city too ! Lovely people and very nice and clean city ! The only complain I have is that the (terrible) woman with the annoying chewing gum at the Blu-ray store charged me ₩500 extra for each of the four Blu-ray I bought... The price the day before was ₩26,500 per Blu-ray - which was also on the price tag - but the next day it was ₩27,000.... Haha...

Haven't been that active recently but I am currently visiting Seoul and went to the Techno Mart that was recommend and couldn't help myself.

Picked up my favorite Hong Sang-Soo film and the entire KOFA blu collection (released so far).

How much cheaper are we talking here? I've stopped buying from Korea altogether.

Those five films cost me ₩114,000. So quite a bit cheaper then what you would pay online even before shipping fees.

The guy at techno mart is awesome. I used to be a regular there. Told him I was looking for some older titles and he managed to find me MoM and man from nowhere 1st print for $30 each.

it's well known cinema runs are long and disc sales are low.

i hear streaming is taking off rapidly in korea, probably due to more-than-decent broadband speeds and a more technologically-ready society in general - remains to be seen if it will become a necessity or possibility for those of us outside korea to access subbed domestic streaming services showing their films from this distance.

Koreans don't watch a lot of videos. They watch shows that airs on TV and watch movies in the theatre.
