Two Questions.... PS3 and I AM LEGEND

Hey guys I've been playing my Blu-rays through my PS3 and my Bravia (FULL HD 1080P) but for some reason it only says it is in 1080i even though my movie is 1080p in fact... anyone know if i have to configure something?

Second question... I know I am Legend is through warner bros........ and WB is hd-dud.... any chance I am legend comes out on blu-ray?

if you don't have your PS3 connected via HDMI I don't think it can be displayed in full 1080p and i'm pretty positive I Am Legend will be available for Blu since its a WB title, haha

WB releases on both HD DVD and blu ray so yes it will.

WB is neutral.

Check the PS3 display options and make sure 1080P is selected and active. Also, what kind of connection are you using for the PS3-to-TV? I think you have to use an HDMI cable to get 1080P.

my ps3 is connected via hdmi..... just confusing why the stupid input still says 1080i when i put in my movies like POTC, Day after tomorrow and stuff

Exactly what JOND7 said on both questions also you might want to check your PS3 setup.

It says 1080i at the start of every movie for the Copyright laws and everything.

But it should switch over to 1080p directly after that.. your tv may not show the second pop up since it happens within seconds.

Otherwise, check your connection in the settings area.
