I hope this won't happen too often, but I thought it was kind of funny.
I used my Apple TV's Siri to search for the movie Signs. It brought up Shyamalan's movie in the Apple TV app, and said it was available to watch in Amazon Prime. I selected that, it went through a brief ad for an upcoming Amazon show, and then the movie opens with a message to the effect of "this dvd was created using the free version of sothinkmedia DVD maker. if you don't want to see this message in your videos, please consider registering your software." I laughed and wondered if Amazon used a bootleg copy of Signs for their source. Then it started some dumb and dreadful YouTube-quality "Signs of the Illuminati" documentary. So… I hope this won't happen too often. And hopefully it's just a small hitch that Apple can still work out with their TV app -- to not link to the wrong videos. Amazon being overrun with cheap-ass conspiracy videos is all fine and whatever until it starts affecting things at this level. Luckily the actual Signs movie is also available on HBO so I just selected that. Long story to the point -- Has anyone else yet experienced movie pages in the TV app leading to the wrong title? |
