Has anyone seen this? It looks like another DVD special for the States, so I might pick this up, especially with the price drop. I do see some negative comparisons to Vikings, which is not a show that interests me much. I haven't watched it because BBC America has adverts...

Still watching this and enjoying it, it doesn't finish until 10th December over here. I can't make a comparison to Vikings as I still have not seen that yet.

Unless I see this going very cheap I won't by buying until next year as I will have plenty of Blu-rays to watch with The X-Files, Warehouse 13, True Blood and a handful of films.

I didn't realise BBC America had adverts, were the episodes for The Last Kingdom broadcast an hour long including adverts, i'm just wondering if it was cut in America.

This was not really anything special. I guess we have been spoilt in recent years by shows like Game of Thrones and Vikings which have this Dark Ages feel.

Will definitely need to wait for the price to drop as have bought too many boxsets recently including X-Files next week.

It does feel tamer than the shows I mentioned, but then remember it is the BBC who had a custom tamer version of White Queen compared to Starz in US and other countries like Australia. I suppose you could consider it like the Vikings in US which was a cable show but the raunchier version appeared on BD and for broadcast / streaming in Europe.
