My brother's girlfriend bought him a 360 for Christmas, he called me this morning to tell me his brand new games keep freezing after about 2 minutes of play... No red rings yet, but I'm sure that's not too far off. I do feel bad for him (and her) though. I'd hate to give someone a gift that doesn't work.

did you warn him that the 360 and the power brick need to have plenty of air to breathe?

tell him that the only way for the 360 to work ok is to have it outdoors so it can get the minimum of air (yes i said minimum), the maximum doesnt exist on this planet lol

Is it weird that I support Blu-Ray but not ps3? My X Box 360 has listed me 2 years and I love. I could have done the $185 upgrade for an HD player, but I chose Blu-Ray because it's simply better. But when it comes down to ps3 versus the 360, the 360 wins hands down.

depends on the game. overall for games tho. its still 360. how long that will hold up, who knows

Not for me. I bought a 360 a few months ago and it really has no good games. I have enjoyed almost every Ps exclusive A LOT. I keep renting 360 games and they keep sucking hard or mediocre at best! The only good 360 games I have played so far is Gears and Mass Effect. At this point I would take the PS3 library over the whole 360 library. Sad but true. What PS3 lacks in quantity right now it easily makes up for in quality. Maybe the 360 just caters to a different crowd.. my 360 is collecting dust I turn on my pS3 everyday for one thing or another.

Lets be realistic... The 360 has TONS more games than the PS3 does! What do you expect? It came out much earlier! I see the PS3 taking over in due time but for now, obviously the 360 has a far better selection of games. Lets not kid ourselves...

I think they both have good qualities, but it is more about personality and what kind of games you like. Most of them (or at least the ones I play) are the same on both formants, but I love Halo, so that was a huge factor.

I wouldnt give anyone a 360 if your worried about giving them something that may not work...

Oops! Forgot about this one. Only half way through it so far but it is a great game. Even though the 360 can barely handle Bioshock and Mass Effect graphics..

. Nothing sucks worse than fighting a BigDaddy for the 10th time.. finally winning and the screen freezes for 15 seconds straight!

Plus it sounds like Mass Effects 2 will be comming to PS3 as well as the 360. Sounds like some software makers are starting to jump the exsclusive ship to make more money.
