Can anyone confirm about the aspect ratio of Spanish release been 1.85:1 like mentioned, or is it perhaps 1.78:1 and "open" when compared to Blue Underground 2.39:1 aspect ratio??

General Notes about the OAR (quote from HERE) :

"William Lustig has stated in an interview with HotD magazine the aspect ratio to be 2.35:1."

"However, the film itself does not look as though it has been shot with scope in mind and many other sources say the original aspect ratio is 1.33:1."

"It should also be noted that the film was shot in Super35, allowing for anyone to create a widescreen film from the original negative ratio of 1.37:1; usually featuring a common top across all versions."
