Hey guys!
I'm thinking of buying my first receiver. I recently moved into a new apartment and bought myself a 50" TV. I figured I'd buy myself a receiver and two good speakers for a nicer movie experience. I know that this is a hard budget to work with, but I'm looking for something in the $100 - $150 range. This being such a low budget, I'm happy to scour Craigslist for used stuff once I know what I'm looking for. I need to be able to connect my BluRay player to it via HDMI. I do not need things like 3D, WiFi or anything fancy. I would like for it to at least support 5.1 surround, though initially I would only be connecting 2 speakers to it. Perhaps a center channel as well. Later on when I have more of a budget, I might buy a sub and surround speakers. That's pretty much all I'm looking for from a receiver. While on the subject, I'm also looking for speaker recommendations. I want to get two floor standing speakers that I can use with the amp. Again, my budget isn't high, but if anyone has some ideas, I would really appreciate them! Thanks everyone! |
