Default What old TV shows should we be expecting on Blu-ray?

This is NOT a wishlist thread that's why I didn't start it in the wishlist section.

Watching Batman now, that I like very much, and I was wondering if we have any info or rumours on any upcoming old TV shows on Bluray. (eg. up to 1990)
I had heard that CBS was doing some /restorations of TV shows on HD, but nothing has been announced yet for Bluray release..

So, any inside info?

The only thing I see in the calendar for 2016 is the UK release of Time Tunnel which is being pushed every year further (maybe it gets cancelled in the end? who knows)

Please, may I remind again that
This is NOT a wishlist thread

(edit: updated to bold, red, large size letters and put the ATTENTION sign after I've seen that most people didn't read the opening post that this is not a wishlist thread! I hope the moderators permit this formatting)

I really want to see Six Feet Under released on blu-ray. Been waiting for that ever since I got a blu-ray player in 2009.

Oh yeah, me too!

"Six Feet Under" and "Carnivale" should be on Blu!
Also In Treatment would be nice.

I am also hoping that "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine" and "Babylon 5" will eventually be released.

We should expect nothing, yet receive everything (TV and movie). They are all capable of being in HD. And all the old ones should be on film, thus very capable of being in HD.

I wish Captain Power and the Soldiers of the Future would get a proper release on disc, period. I have the VHS tapes burned onto DVDs and they look horrible.

For me my number one TV show that's not yet on Blu-ray would be Fraser

It shouldn't be impossible because it was made on film and no SFX so now need to upscale anything

It's because it belongs to Paramount, which are sticklers when it comes to anything catalog on BD. If it wasn't for Olive, even with their penny pinching on subtitles and rights for extras, we wouldn't see so many John Wayne titles on BD.

Does the fact that HD versions of certain shows are available for streaming, indicating that they have at least been scanned in HD, count as "any info", or are you looking only for shows where there are more definite rumors of plans to put out a blu ray?

Except a lot of 80s/early 90s sitcoms which were shot on video. See Roseanne, etc. All these will benefit from is less compression for the SD resolution they're unfortunately frozen at.

Not interested in streaming, so yes, I'm interested only in Blurays.

I see little to any chance of non-genre, non-HBO shows being released. Catalog just doesn't sell, and studios don't want to invest the money.

That said, I'd love to see any of the following:

-Carnivāle
-Six Feet Under
-Sex and the City
-Oz
-Charmed
-Smallville (all seasons)
-Buffy the Vampire Slayer
-Angel
-Roswell
-Millennium
-The Lone Gunmen
-Gilmore Girls
-Veronica Mars
-Gossip Girl
-Queer as Folk
-The Tudors (R1 release)
-Nip/Tuck
-Dead Like Me
-Seinfeld
-iZombie
-Once Upon a Time in Wonderland
-Constantine
-Warehouse 13
-Everwood
-Dawson's Creek

I wasn't asking if you were interested in streaming in itself, but about whether the fact that the studio had made an HD master would qualify as "info" in your "info or rumours" request, or if you only want people to chime in if they have a stronger lead than that. A lot of people are just kind of ignoring your request that this not just be a wish list thread (and if that continues the thread may get moved), but at least with some of the shows mentioned like Seinfeld and Buffy, we do know the studios have made an HD master, which they could put out on blu ray any time they wanted.

Do we know what shows were shot of film definitively? There was some great stuff in the 90's that seems a shame for it to be stuck in SD forever.

Roseanne
Home Improvement
Tales From the Crypt
Full house
Dinosaurs

Nevermind all the Great animated stuff I'd love to own on Blu Ray..

-Batman the animated Series
-The Simpsons Early seasons
-X-Men the animated Series
-Spider-man the animated Series
-He-Man and the Masters of the Universe (1981 & 2002)
-Muppet Babies
