It is terrible. I would not take it if the gave it to me. It is a HORRIBLE version of madden. It didn't seem like they spent much time with it.

Yeah thats what I thought, but for $9.99 I was gonna be willing to take a chance on a 2K title but I'm glad to know it would still be a waste.

Have to disagree. College Hoops 2K8 is a very good game with excellent graphics. The college basketball is the only one(IMO) that beats out EA's version. So not ALL 2k titles are bad, just most.

in stead of wasting $10 on all pro football. you could price match the mistake that CC had in the sales paper and get Madden 08 for $22.49. There is a thread in the hotdeals section

I find all of the 2k hate startling. I have had nothing but great experiences from their sports titles that I bought. I mean I only bought NFL2k5 (owned in my opinion over madden), MLB 2k7(love it), and NBA 2k7(got it at launch, but traded it.... I hate Basketball for some reason unless it has college in front of it.)

I think its a matter of personal opinion. I've owned EA titles since I have owned video game systems and I think that they just make better games, and 2K titles can only try to catch up. But as i said its a matter of personal opinion.

I thought ESPN NFL 2K5 on the PS2 was a lot more fun than Madden that year; the celebrity matches were a stupid gimmick, but I enjoyed the gameplay more, especially in the running game---the option to tap X for speed or hold it down to build up power for a move was a simple, flexible, and useful. And the First-Person-Football in-helmet camera was too cool, especially coming off the end or playing linebacker.

I think it's a shame the NFL signed an exclusive contract with EA. I haven't played much Madden 2008, but enough to know I don't intend to drop $60 on it.

I thought this game was OK, especially for $10. I like being able to play as x-NFL greats - especially Thurman Thomas who I followed faithfully when I first got into watching NFL games.

APF is a great title if you can deal with not having the current players. If you can see past that, then it's a great game. I however need to have the current players.

That being said, $22.49 for Madden 08 is crap too. Madden this year is unplayable. Spectacular catch has made the game to arcadish, too easy to score. I am soo disappointed with Madden this year as it was supposed to be THE YEAR. Plus, it constantly choppy on the PS3 version.
