Default Differences in Harry Potter

I am trying to decide which version to purchase of the Harry Potter release on blu-ray. I'm disposed to purchase the individual discs because it will be easier to add the last two movies when they are released, however amazon.com says that the 5 movie package contains "2-disc" versions of the film, then it says that there are a total of 7 discs. So I'm confused. I don't care about the bookmarks or trading cards, but do you lose all the special features in the individual packages? Thanks

i think the bonus two discs are just special features but not the ones that are on the current dvd releases, there just bonus'. also if im not mistaken the two extra discs are just regular dvds. someone will have to confirm that since im buying the singles not the set.

One of the bonus disc is a Interactive game, the other is special features. But they are indeed both just regular DVDs.

Correctamundo.

Each movie is just one disc, with all the bonus features on the same disc as the movies themselves. There's a bonus DVD which I haven't cracked into yet, and there's also a "DVD Game"...whatever that means.

Honestly, there'd be enough room in the box for all 7 movies if you took out those bonus discs (which, to me anyway, are useless). Then you've got all 7 flicks in a very nice case.

Somebody I know bought the box set and he hates the packaging. He thought it would contain the cases for each of the discs. Sure looks to be big enough and that is what I expected too. Now he wishes he had just bought the individual movies and then put those on his shelf.

Personally, I think the best reason to get the box set is the rather nice bookmarks... oh, and the price savings over getting them individually.

If you really want the game after buying them seperately, Best Buy sells it for $20.

Three of the movies come in a BD size fold out case which is not so bad, but the other two movies come in a case only disk size, so it's not the most asthetically pleasing thing to put on the shelf. I would have prefered five BD cases in this big chest. A bit perplexed and disapointed in this bizzare decision on case sizes.

Thanks for the input everyone. I bought them individually last night. ($18.96 each). I almost had to beat an old lady with my walking stick for the last copies. I made it to the display about 5 seconds before someone else did who was going to grab them. OOTF is simply amazing in blu-ray.

Best Buy here seems to be laboring under the delusion that the special 7 disc set was never released in blu-ray, only HD-DVD. In fact, no one in our city carries it.

Complete opposite here. Not a single HD DVD set(apparently they got one in on Tues), one Blu-ray (they got 5), and 2-3 DVD sets (dunno). The singles were basically all sold out and I didn't have the time to question on those
