'Car Wash' movie remake in the works. - Blu-ray Forum

Universal is eyeing up a remake of the 1976 comedy Car Wash, that originally starred Richard Pryor. He led the cast, alongside The Pointer Sisters, Bill Duke, George Carlin, Otis Day and Lorraine Gray.

I somewhat considered The Wash with Snoop Dog as a kind of remake.

Are there even any full service car washes anymore?

Right, the Wash was basically a remake but a terrible remake at that so Im ok with this if its done correctly. Car Wash is a classic and really doesnt need to be touched but if it is done I just hope its done right. Got Em!!

It's a really good movie, there's a surprising amount of drama for a car wash. Even the last bit of movie hits you right in the feels.
