Its up I'm having real trouble sitting through it... Trailer looked awesome but its very slow and just odd.
![]() Also the dialogue is no where near what it needs to be to move so slowly. House of Cards is like 180 degrees different in-terms of quality writing. Hopefully I can make it through more than 2 eps ![]() Last edited by supersix4; 04-19-2013 at 11:58 PM. |

Does it pick up and actually have a point? Cause on episode two I still have no idea what or where the show wants to go and the dialogue again sure isn't witty enough that I care.

" The series revolves around the eccentric residents of a dilapidated former Pennsylvania steel town and the murder of 17-year-old Brooke Bluebell. "
Murder of the Bluebell ice cream princess. Her death must be avenged! Didn't know this was already out. Shoulda released it all in October. |

I haven't gotten a chance to watch the last three episodes yet, but aside from the main murder mystery and a few other tangential plots, it has as little a point to it than Twin Peaks. It's more about tone and characters. I dig it. |

Good thing it has one. But the fact is this isn't a show with universal appeal. It's too bizarre and, judging by the reaction from critics, most won't be able to make it past the first few episodes. The Entertainment Weekly review was spot-on, though.
It doesn't help that it has been promoted as a horror show by Eli Roth. It's most definitely not that. |

I started watching it on the 19th at 0300 and it wasn't a good idea. lol
It is too scary but it has some good scare you scenes. Pretty messed show as in there is a lot going on but I like it. I don't know if they will ever release it on blu ray let alone a season 2 but so far I like what I have been watching. Kissing scene by the river. That is all. |

Well I caught the first episode yesterday and I don't know if it's because I wasn't in the mood or what but it just didn't entertain me.
Firstly... Famke Janssen is one of my favourite actresses but she can't do a British accent. I couldn't take anything she said seriously. I don't get the point of the show as of yet, someone's a Werewolf or people are werewolves? but there's also some weird monster family? or Aliens or something (Janssen's daughter)? It seems like Grimm without the predictable ebb and flow of fantasy characters and discoveries. I don't want them to spell it out in the most overt way, but it would be nice if things we set up better especially from the get go before we go off to all these different characters and side narratives. The first episode didn't flow well at all, really clunky pacing and playing with time and space (like the flash back, and the strange semi-flash back at the start) made it all the more disjointed to watch. Nothing about it was very scary and despite the obvious moments it didn't feel like a horror series. I'll carry on and give it all a go but right now I'm not very impressed. |

Will Netflix release Hemlock Grove on Blu ray? People after picking it up in stores might get hooked and then subscribe. It cant hurt.
