You normally do not get any price reduction on Def Tech speakers. You pay the list price. You can check Amazon or Vann's.

I am running two Def Tech Pro Sub 1000's off of a "Y" splitter from my Denon 3808CI. I am happy with the sound I am getting. I started off with one sub when I got my Pro monitors and after reading that it is best to stay with the same sub in a .2 system I went with another. I would have liked to go with a couple of supercubes but too much money for me right now. adding the second sub has really cleaned up the bass IMO.

I bought a SuperCube III over the holidays at Magnolia. Paid only $300 for it as it was a demo. (Pristine condition in every way however). I am extraordinarily pleased with it. I am using it to compliment a pair of the new Klipsch WF-35's in a small 12x12 listening room. Powered through the pre-out on my new Marantz PM 8003 integrated. It's a sweet sub that I find to be fast and very musical. It's tiny size notwithstanding, this sub could easily overwhelm the room. I keep it turned very low. Now I have to replace the Infinity PS 12 that I have in the theater room. It sounds like crap in comparison. Probably will go with a SuperCube I or II for that application. I'm going to wait to find the right deal though. BTW, as has been noted on this thread, Amazon is now an authorized reseller of def tech speakers.

Well you can see my setup in my gallery. I also have the goodies listed in my sig.
I picked up the supercube 2 about two weeks ago and so far have been very pleased with it. It was a nice addition to the woofers in my towers. I have all 3 of them ran though lfe and there is no lack of bass in my house. Nice tight bass, and the speakers and sub are easy on the eyes too. |

Def tech owner here and I have a question for you guys. I currently have bp6bs in the fronts with a supercube 1. Now I was thinking about getting bp7004 (7002 or greater is out of my budget), but then I though I could save a little by getting an extra supercube I. Which way would you guys go?

ak808- Unless you're planning on moving the bp6's to the back (which isn't a bad move) I don't know that getting the 7004's will be good financially. I know they'd sure sound great though! ![]() |

Hi all...
Just got my Def. Tech Prosub 800. I am so glad it's small (8 '') with the power it has. I'm about to go and calibrate it with my ONkyo 606 Audessey setup. Question: Do I leave the volume turned to maximum during the setup? Also, on the back, do put the cutoff to the maximum (150 hz I think). I think I was told that I should turn it all the way up. Please advise. Pycroft |
