Paramount will be releasing South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut (1999) on 4K for its 25th Anniversary! Release date is set fir June 25th. I'll post more details when they come in.

Obviously not as great as a disc, but the 4K version on Vudu looks great!

Neat. I hadn’t thought about this movie in years and just last week I randomly got Blame Canada stuck in my head and it got me thinking it would be nice to have a UHD. My thoughts have thus been manifested.

This felt like a movie that made financial sense to release on 4k but just never happened for so long I never really thought it would happen. So glad to see this will exist. Day 1.

Haven't seen it but most likely 35mm. I've gone over this before but it's very likely the Hell scenes with CGI by Blur Studio, plus the fact this was '99 so the DI was very likely poorly archived if at all, are preventing a direct digital transfer of the movie from being done. The South Park show remasters were done from OG project files and as far as I know were at least partially reanimated, so CGI from an outside studio probably threw a wrench in remastering the movie.

Unlike the series, the animation files and 2k DI reportedly no longer exist. Probably gonna be scanned from a filmout as that's what all prior versions were derived from.

Couldn't agree more! I'd also love to get BASEketball and Orgazmo on 4K as well but I'm not holding my breath on those two.

IDK if I want to watch TEAM AMERICA in 4k.
I can already see the strings a lot of the time, and it takes me out of the movie. It's like I'm watching a movie where it's obvious SOMEONE is behind the scenes pulling the strings, because I can see them. Botch job on their part. Grade: F-plus.
