Most people consider this a rip off of Indiana Jones but I don't. I think Indiana Jones is based off of Alan Quatermain. Still the fact that it was made in the 80's and so was Jones which helped the movie. So I can see the comparison of the movies. Anyways I grew up with this movie and love it's cheesy greatness. You get Sharon Stone in her hay day and Richard Chamberlain. I would love to see this movie on Blu-Ray!

Never seen this (though I do know about). Would definitely give it a watch if it comes out on blu. May need to hunt down the DVD.

I think it's definately worth a look on dvd should be like $5. I grew up with this movie so I like it.

I would really love to see this too in remasterd BLuray , along with its sequel "Allan Quatermain and the Lost City of Gold"!

On my list as one of the worst movies ever made, but that top honor still falls to Barbarella.

I love everything about this movie! The intentional cheesiness! The unintentional cheesiness! The acting! The action! The "special" effects! It's all so bad that it is so damn fun to watch!

But in all seriousness this film definitely needs a BluRay transfer, especially considering the current Region 1 DVD is a non-anamorphic transfer (although oddly the sequel is anamorphic). One of my favorite cult films!

This film and it's sequel might be coming to Blu-Ray. HD transfers of both were done for the DVD release over a decade ago - neither film looks great thought and there is print damage on KSM - so they are ready for Blu-Ray. You can watch them both on Netflix in HD.

Still waiting on this film to get a blu! The damn sequel got one, lol. This one deserves it a lot more, imo. Way more fun.

I would prefer a release of the original since it was a much better film.
