The movie starts ok, with a good action scene but gets very mediocre and boring once we are on the submarine. Not much suspense there and don't look for martial arts either. About 15 minutes of Dolph in the whole movie and van Damme looks like he's about to fall asleep any moment.
Not a total failure but a very weak effort. Crash Dive (the one with Michael Dudikoff) was the better "die hard on a submarine". Would rate it 4,5/10. |

Nope, no greatness or glory to find there. Ok for one viewing but nothing more.

You might be a little bit happier with it then.

I have just seen that movie (Bluray ist Code B locked) at I had a lot of fun, okay small Role for Dolph Lundgren, but the action is pretty good for a DTV Production. A lot of Shootout, but almost non Martial Arts. But I have to say, at least not boring.

Just seen it. I thought it was very entertaining from start to finish. High production values, good cinematography, very good action scenes with real blood squibs, good editing and no annoying shaky cam. Dolph was a riot. The few fight scenes felt realistic. Van Damme rocked it big time imo. Also liked the humorous bits. Definitely one of Van Damme's best DTV work. In fact I am surprised this didn't get at least a limited theatrical release.
