Lucky with only 2 flights, Halifax to Toronto, and Toronto to Taipei. Luggage was first off the carousel; quick 5 am taxi with no traffic to train station where we waited 15 minutes to get the next train home. Only 28.5 hours from door to door.

Spent 35 from San Diego to here before.

We lived in Singapore for three years and going through the west coast was always longer for us too. Better to go through Chicago to Hong Kong/Tokyo and then Singapore.

How about a Humphrey Bogart 50's crime thriller double feature? This favorite has Bogart as a DA trying to bring killers to justice.




2. The Desperate Hours

First Viewing. On the opposite end Bogart is a criminal on the run and taking hostages. I saw this gets a Blu in a few months and hadn't heard of it. I enjoyed it enough that I will be buying the Blu when available.

First Viewing. Another cool crime thriller. I'm not as familiar with lead Cornel Wilde and will look for more of his films.

He’s good in this one and Richard Widmark is great as the bad guy.
