Default I went with the Samsung instead of the Sony 4k TV

This is not a post to bash on Sony or anything, this just for me to tell you that I had a bad experience with a brand new TV out of the box. I purchased a brand new Sony 850D, and out of the box the Sony was giving me issues with the 4K and HDR content. The TV would freeze with a still image, and it was not the receiver because I also purchased that new. The receiver is a Marantz SR5011. And I have a new Samsung K8500. Anyways when the movie would freeze and it had it's still image I would shut off the receiver and the blu-ray player, and the image would just still be there. I thought to myself there is something wrong with the unit. I also had a light leak on the bottom right hand corner of the TV. You would notice it so much on dark scenes and even on light scenes you would still be able to notice the light leak. Mind you this is the first time owning a Sony. I always swore by Samsung. Well to make a long story short.

I went back to Best Buy, and I returned the Sony. I purchased the Samsung 8000 series, and boy I was able to tell the difference right out of the box without me even calibrating the unit yet. The HDR is amazing and the regular Blu-rays look insane! The PS4 pro looks phenomenal as well.

I want to know from you guys have you had a similar experience with Sony products? I'm very hesitant on ever buying a Sony TV again.
