Yes! Watched this on the big screen twice. Not among his best films but I was strangely hooked to the cinema.

I got to watch the Kino blu-ray last night. I've never seen any other presentations of the film, but the HD picture was really beautiful. Kudos to Kino (or Fox?) on that.
A very weird film. I'm not sure why Bertolucci thought it really needed to have a 2h22 run time, but it definitely had some really fun silly moments and it was great to see 2 actors from Dario Argento's Inferno pop up in the movie.

I'm sorry, but I can't watch this movie on general principle.

...the mayonnaise scene is too disturbing.

Hmmmm, sounds like you've watched it

I haven't seen this film, but I'm interested in it. It does center around a touchy matter (incest?), but I did enjoy Lou Malle's film "MURMUR OF THE HEART"... even though it left me a bit disturbed. My problem with Bertolucci is that he tends to draw out his scenes out too much. I keep yelling at the screen, "cut, edit... already."

I have seen the film many times and have no idea what scene you are talking about.
