Samsung BD-J5100

My mother just bought her first BD Player. She got a refurb off ebay and said she didn't have time to get my opinion beforehand.

It looks good enough for what she'd be doing. She doesn't even have any BDs yet, just DVDs and the possiblilty for USB.

She thought it had wireless, but I do not yet know if that's a deal breaker.

So I have a few questions:

1. Does this support DiVx encoding on USB/DVD-R?
2. Does this support .srt subtitles for USB/DVD-R? If not, does it support any type of subtitles for the aforementioned formats?

I swear I google'd first, but did not find info

Anything else I should watch out for on her behalf?
