I hate this lazy effort of simply using a nice full colour photograph on the cover.

Sharp looking steelbook, definitely looking to pick this one up. One of Pacino's finest moments.

He's great in this, only upstaged by his incredible headgear!

That's the poster art. It's what a lot of people (including myself) would want.

It's a revisionist version of the poster art.

The original poster artwork is meant to be posterized into three bands of yellow, green and cyan

^Exactly. Eureka took it upon themselves to change it to a standard photo because they thought the original was ugly. Complete revisionism.

I hope they change it to the original art... More in keeping with a Masters of Cinema release! Not saying it's ugly, I like it, but a photo on the front looks odd. Day 1 either way!

Easy pass for me, if they don't go with the original art.

Default Serpico - Masters of Cinema Steelbook

Here's what is should be (standard case version). I said in the MoC thread that it was the wrong way to go, changing it because they found the original colours horrible. And I think I was right, the steelbook looks plain and dull. Bad decision on Euraka's part.

Well, I agree, I find the original colours horrible. Makes it look like a Predator movie.

They made a very smart change. The original poster is HIDEOUS.

Original poster is horrendous.
New colour artwork is awfully dull, and actually looks like what Eureka was ranted against lately (bland screencap + title slapped under it).

Should have commissionned a complete original new artwork, like they did perfectly so many times before.

With the matte finish they use, a SteelBook with the original image would/could easily be the best MoC SteelBook to date.
