Will we ever see the day where base prices drop to $19.99 like in the US?

They didn't have any blu-rays at my Superstore so I price matched their price at Walmart and got it for $26.30 tax included.

Superstore, in my experience, has usually gotten Blu-rays late too near where I live. I remember reading about the Goosebumps exclusive Steelbook at RCSS, went over on release day and lo and behold, none to be found... but then they had them a week later. Maybe the stock-boys are just slower there

Don't know what is happening at Costco but their prices have been near release day prices for a while. I can't remember but shouldn't their prices stay around 22 even for older releases or do they jump back up?

Anyways, Costco is 24.79.

Also there are stories of different cases floating out there. I was at WM and I found TWO cases. One has the flat blu-ray logo and one has the sinked (debossed) blu -ray logo. The flat one is suppose to contain the flipper style case while the other is the stacked style case. So if it matters to you how the discs are stored, check for the flat blu-ray logo for the flipper style.

I took my lunch break at 10 to run to Walmart to check out the BB8 cover. I went to a closer one, it's smaller but only takes 16 minutes round trip so I have about 10 minutes to shop, versus the other that takes 20 minutes and leaves me with 6. Big mistake.

I walk in, toy displays are set up, but no movies. I go to electronics, the new release shelf is cleared off. They can't be sold out, it's only 10 AM. There are the boxes sitting behind the counter. I only see the regular version so I ask about bb8, they didn't even get any! I really can't believe this store sometimes. Still not as bad as the time I was at a different store to get interstellar and they had none out, and he said they were in the back but he couldn't leave the floor to get them and to check back around 11.

On the plus side, Easter candy was 75% off, so I got a three pack of creams eggs for $0.75!

Another funny thing, I needed some packing tape, and the Walmart brand I got last time was poor quality, so I thought I'll just spend the extra and get Scotch brand. Scotch: 5.97 for two rolls, Walmart: 6.97 for 4 rolls. Wait a sec, Scotch 2 rolls, 48X100, Walmart 4 rolls, 48X48. Hmm. So you actually get more with the name brand and it's a dollar cheaper? I guess you are paying $1.00 extra for the two extra cardboard cores? It pays to pay attention.

That's a tough one,

I went on my lunch break here in my town, scored the BB8 cover (last one on the shelf) they had more behind the counter thank god @ my Walmart, but was stunned at how much was picked over from the shelf of the BB8 and regular copy. Store was only open @ 10am, 2 hours later I arrived @ noon.

Superstore is pretty hit and miss these days. Often I find that they have separate cardboard displays for their advertised releases and these can be placed pretty much anywhere in the store. Sometimes in "seasonal", sometimes by the checkout. Thats where I found GOT SSN-5 a few weeks back. Probably safest is to PM elsewhere.

For RCSS here, when nothing was on the shelf for GOT S5 late on release day, the CS lady told me that they/RCSS don't actually stock the movies and that someone comes-in to set them up. Now whether that is only the store here, or all stores, I don't know...

They usually contract out the movies to a third party.

Best Buy in the States also does this. Not sure about Canada.

It's the same thing at Canadian Tire, or Giant Tiger.

I opted to pass on the current releases and wait for the 3D version. I also cancelled my BB steelbook order and it's already sold out online -- I hope I don't regret it .
