I purchase tons of digital copies on this forum and have been looking for an ultraviolet copy of Deadwood: The Complete Series but have had no luck. I decided to buy the Blu-Ray set from Amazon and was sad to see that it did not include any digital copies. I have seen this complete series digital copy sold on this forum but by the time I see it only the iTunes or Google copies are for sale. Does anyone know where these digital copies for Deadwood are coming from if the Complete Series Blu-Ray set does not include them?

They're coming from the complete series BD set but a newer version of it. It's the same as with the Band of Brothers and The Pacific codes - they're only included on the new versions that HBO put out recently.
The problem is finding these versions. I've been checking Best Buys for months for the new Deadwood set but have only come across the older, codeless set. |

Thank you both for your help. HBO is not always clear on their packaging so I went ahead and opened it so now I cannot return it. When I bought The Sopranos Complete Series a while there was no mention of Digital Copies inside but it did have them so that is why I just assumed this would be the same.

Contact HBO through their feedback and questions link. I have no idea where that is, I had to search the HBO site a couple years back to find it. Just let them know about the situation and attach proof that you bought the series (pictures of the receipt, the bluray box, and the UPC.) Let them know that you expected the code to be in the set but Amazon sent you older stock. Odds are good that they will just go ahead and give you a code.
When I contacted them a couple years back it was because I had gotten season 1 of Game of Thrones and it was older and didn't have the digital copy. They gave me a copy without even asking for proof. And there was an upside to the physical blurays too. Turns out that it was the original set that used a George Bush mask as one of the heads on spikes. That bit was edited out of later copies because people whined that it was disrespectful to the president. |

Here are pics for proof. https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...9#post11544269 Read the thread thoroughly to see how random it is on getting digital copies or not. |

In case you're still trying to get that code HBO will help you out
On a whim I decided to contact them and say the following "I purchased this title many years ago when it was released and now I see that it is available now at a cheaper rate with digital HD included. Is it possible to get a code for this as an owner of the physical copy? I am a loyal customer of all your products and don't want to have to re purchase a set to get the same value as a new customer. " I was surprised to receive a reply asking for a photo of my goods with a hand written note showing my email address in the picture. I snapped a few pics and had a code sent to me the next day. I did this for Rome, deadwood and band of brothers Excellent customer service and I think my request was fair |

![]() [Show spoiler] That is really decent of HBO to do this. I will have to put in a request for all the titles I have (Deadwood, Rome, Trueblood Seasons 1 -3, BoB and The Pacific...perhaps even John Adams if they have that too). Did you send emails separately for each series? I don't want to bombard them all at once...maybe just gradually send them out. |

I should clarify that I submitted a support ticket on the hbodigitalhd website. Then once they respond to your message via email you just reply back to that email with the information they request. I had no problem with undeliverable mail, just hit reply and attached the pics directly in the body of the email on my iPhone.

Yes I submitted a separate ticket for each series I owned. Only hiccup I experienced was with Rome the complete series. I was told no code exists for that set, only season one. I asked if I could have that code then and they sent it over no problems. |
