I am thinking about buying some international discs (for example, the Japanese Region 2 I Love Tweety DVDs), but my Blu-ray player - a Sony BDP-S1700 - is marked something along the lines of "Region 1/A", meaning that it can only play Region 1 DVDs and Region A Blu-rays. Is there a way to hack it so it can play any region-encoded discs?
