Buying Blu for Christmas - Blu-ray Forum

Curious how many are bringing new Blu to the family.

We got our parents a PS3 40.

A good friend wanted to know what I wanted for Christmas. Of course, I told him Blu and showed him my Wish List on amazon. I'm happy to say he's ordered the That's Entertainment trilogy box and Viva Las Vegas. Now that's what I call a good friend! (I was the one that got him to buy Blu when I read that Hairspray was coming to Blu a couple months back, so he owed me.)

But I guess this doesn't quite fit the poll above....

even though my brother just has a sdtv and a ps3, i asked him if i was going to get him a movie for xmas if he wanted it on blu-ray or dvd. he told me blu-ray, because it had more features and if he was to get an hdtv someday (hes still in High School) he doesn't want to have to rebuy it. so he's getting AWE and Superbad, which are his first blu-rays ever.

I wish I could afford to buy someone a player hehe. I know 5 people with HDTVs who don't have one.

I am not buying one for anybody, but all I have asked for is Blu-gear. I have about 15 different movies on my list as well as 4 PS3 games. I can't wait!

Not giving any player's but a couple of people are getting Blu-ray movies.

We have two PS3's and over a hundred movies and still adding. We are set with a blu Christmas.

Last year, I bought my best friend a Samsung blu-ray player and disappointed me in giving it away to his stuck-up sister-in-law. I'm not buying him anything else and don't really consider him a friend anymore.

I dont know anyone else who supports or collects BR.. but HD-DUD neither.

Most people havent caught on yet!

Too expensive for me to get anyone a system. I would be buying people a lot of BD movies..but no one owns a system.

I on the other hand will be getting a lot of movies lol.
