Are the HDX LW 1 and 2 the 2012 transfers of the terrible 2006 transfers?

Does Vudu get the same transfers as Blu Rays? I always thought they got the same transfers as HD cable channels? I have both on Vudu. Tell me what to look for and I can check for you.

The transfer of Lethal Weapon 2 that made it to HD-DVD was one of Warner's "screen door transfers", where everything looks very blocky. It's amazing that these passed quality control at all, they're painful to watch! Vudu will let you check the first 2 minutes of most titles to see how the transfer is, I don't know if the one there is improved.

Lethal Weapon I & II (both theatrical) are the old 2006 transfers. The BDs and HD-DVDs are OK, but if you thought the discs had mediocre encoding, Vudu's compression makes it look like badly encoded YT 720p!
