It's been used before.

I guess nobody remembers Highlander: Endgame or Dead Rising: Endgame...

And Endgame (2015).
So they let Dr. Strange pick the title.

I rag on lots of marvels movies (especially lately ) as they are more cookie cutter slapstick silly movies like Ragnarok and Black panther, but marvel does a great job on the Avengers series. I loved Infinity war and I think this one will be even better.

Thanos is the best villain the MCU has had and the villain can make or break a film. The villain needs to have a larger than life presence and make you feel that they are more than a match for the hero or heroes and there has to be real stakes involved. Something that lacked in the previously mentioned titles.

I cant wait to see this, but I'm hoping they dont rely on captain marvel to be the last minute big gun for this movie.

It's also the least spoiler-y, which was likely the primary consideration.

Is it, though? It makes me think of that whole scene with Strange, Thanos and Tony, and makes me wonder if some of the ideas about what was going on are correct.

[Show spoiler]The Time Stone just appears out of thin air, and glowing, kind of intimating it was either being used or had just been used. It's an interesting scene, for sure, and obviously is what had to happen, as this is part of what Strange sees as the "one way we win."

I guess we'll see.

While I agree it's not the most ... unique, title, I do think it plays its purpose in pointing to that one scene above. I think we'll see that the whole exchange was the key.

Or, maybe I'm wrong. I feel the Russos are pretty mindful about things, though.

It’s just that it’s a ‘cool’ but actually rubbish phrase.

Re: Spoiler-y, even Infinity War Part 2 would have been OK.

According to the director Joe Russo this may clock in at three hours. Want to bet that this is the one to end 3D exhibition with Marvel?

Here's the trailer on itunes if anyone is interested.

They better have a 3D IMAX version, ever since the no 3D version of Wreck it Ralph 2, Disney makes me nervous...

Cool. Infinity War was a major improvement over Age of Ultron, and came close to Avengers 1, though a bit lighter on the story at times. The 3D however, was the best of all three, with high medium to strong 3D layering and good pop outs here and there. Can't wait to check this out.

Well said regarding how important a villain is in a movie. They push the heroes to hopefully get pushed to their limits, and forced to make very tough choices.

No, you'd have to have something wrong with your eyes to argue that these films don't benefit massively from 3D, even Disney can see that.

But it may the end of these films on 3D Blu-ray.

Seriously, xxxx every single tv manufacturer who stopped supporting 3d. It would cost them $0 for active 3d. Just firmware. But no, they take 3d away from everyone other than projector owners and old tv owners. Xxxx them all. Endless money to spend on useless applications that can be provided much much better by an external disposable device. But 3d? No... Xxxx them all.

Stop saying that. Or Maybe you really do need to change your tagline. MCU Movies in 3D get that special IMAX sequences on the 3D Blu-Ray. They also sell way better overseas than the 4K release

Marvel films in 3D in the UK and other countries outside the US on blu ray 3D are hopefully still going to continue on. I haven't seen any slow down yet for Marvel. To make strong 3D and then only show it one time would be dumb.

Marvel's showing stronger 3D because they know 3D fans want to feel more immersed in the film beyond just 2D, along with the higher income for the price of the 3D ticket. But they're still paying for and offering impressive 3D conversions, so here's hoping they truly understand there's a good amount of 3D fans who still own 3DTVs and displays who want to relive these experiences again in 3D at home. Hopefully Disney will allow it to continue as they have been for overseas blu ray 3D of Marvel films.

Good to hear. 3D is definitely more immersive when the 3D is medium to strong 3D.
