Some quick thoughts, love Schitt's Creek getting so much love. Did not expect that. I have no clue how Rhea Seehorn didn't get a nomination for Better Call Saul. I understand they felt that every Game of Thrones actor needed a nomination but Seehorn was absolutely worthy. Would have loved to see Timothy Simons or Sam Richardson get a nomination for Veep, they were both outstanding in the final season. Pleasantly surprised by the nomination for Anthony Carrigan for Barry. Figured he would be the odd man out for Barry with Henry Winkler guaranteed a nomination and Stephen Root a good bet.

Stephen Dorff snubbed for True Detective... pretty awful. He was way better than Ali (who was still very good).

Surprised to see so much love for GoT given how divisive the final season was.

Rooting for Better Call Saul and Chernobyl. Wouldn't mind if True Detective wins something (mainly for Ali).

LOL at all the GOT nominations.

Rhea Seehorn got snubbed but somehow Lena Headey gets a nomination despite doing absolutely nothing this season.

The emmys are stupid af.

The lead comedy actress category is almost completely different from last year when Allison Janney, Tracee Ellis Ross, Pamela Adlon, Jane Fonda, and Lily Tomlin were all nominated alongside Rachel Brosnahan. It'll be interesting to see if Julia can actually go 7-for-7 against the most recent winner and four new nominees.

Maisel is my favorite show on TV right now, so I want Rachel to win, but I bet they give it to Julia again for her last season, which isn't a bad choice either. Those two categories are jam-packed with awesomeness.

I'd be okay with Julia winning again and figure that's the likely outcome anyway. She's obviously one of the most talented comedic actresses working today and deserves all the recognition she gets. Still, I would be pleasantly surprised if someone else won, especially Rachel, Catherine, or Christina.

Man, Thrones winning Best Drama is such a lame final beat, yeah it’s big and expensive and all, and it’s the most talked about show this year. But even going by the awards itself it didn’t earn it, it really should have gone to a different series, really set the path for something new instead of clasping on to something old.
