Just bought this on Vudu a few months ago, which was probably the tipping point for a blu release.

I saw Steve Vai with Alcatrazz a year before the film was released and was impressed with his guitar playing. When I watched the movie back in 1986, I was pleasantly surprised to see him shredding on the screen! Great stuff!

Day one as well. I love this film. The music in the finale is so epic.

Lately, I've found Mill Creek's transfers to be solid enough. OT, but I just watched the double feature of Silent Fall and Imaginary Crimes yesterday. Each transfer was watchable, and each film was solid (though it was an odd pairing. The films are completely different). I'd recommend it for the price.

I'm looking forward to revisiting Crossroads. I can finally retire my DVD.

I bought this on DVD just last year because it didn't have a blu release. lol Looks like I'll be upgrading after all!
