Family Historical Connections?

Hey, all.

I've become a lot more interested in genealogy and such in the past year, after losing my Mom and with my Dad battling Alzheimer's. I've really wanted to know more about where I come from, and that's led me into wondering how others may fit in.

Those of you who know anything about American history, especially the 1930s period, have likely been told of (in)famous outlaw Clyde Barrow, and the gang who followed him. The most well-known of his associates was also his lover, a woman by the name of Bonnie Parker. Well, it turns out she had a cousin, by the name of Vic "Buster" Thomas...and he was my paternal grandfather. This means that in the present, I am Bonnie Parker's first cousin, two generations removed. Granted, its not the best way to be remembered...but its still kinda cool, knowing you have a relative in the history books.
