I loved this when it was released. Now? Well, it looks good and has a great soundtrack. The bonus features will ultimately make up my mind on whether or not to buy it.

F*ck yes!!! I don’t know if there’s any cut footage with even a hint of the intended R rating, but that would be sick. I’m not sure if any of that was filmed/animated though was it?

This could make for a solid documentary though if the parties involved got to go into detail about everything that went down.

There was cut footage, but none involving animation. Every bit of animation ended up on the screen. If I remember correctly, the main stuff cut was an extended sequence of crazy inmates in prison, and a sequence of the Slash club turning real with real actors portraying cartoon characters. The animation for that sequence was never done because it was shot with a handheld camera and the technical considerations were too expensive to complete the sequence.

The hard R scene was never shot. It only existed as a storyboard.

As a teenager this was disappointing on my first viewing as I was lead to believe that it was more adult than it ended up being however I did enjoy it for what it was. I revisited it for the first time in a decade(s) last year and had a lot of fun with it however and am very much looking forward to seeing what Shout Factory does with this release. I've always had a soft spot for these early 90's live-action/animation crossbreeds and a behind the scenes feature on what was originally intended vs what we got would be quite interesting to me.
