Awesome news, was never expecting that.
I already own the doc on DVD and a book by Simon Sheridan. I also have The Amazing Mary Millington paperback from 1978.
Although the films aren't that great it will be nice to have in my collection.
Shame Miss Bohrloch (1970) is not included as a bonus, that was her best film, lol

I've a stupendously high detached tolerance for the tawdry, sleazy and exploitative but taking into account the circumstances of it's making Mary Millington's True Blue Confessions left me feeling genuinely uneasy (and thank **** they chose not to include the mortuary photos it's alleged the producers located, though no doubt the BBFC circa 1980 would have cut them anyway)

That said, as a cultural artifact this set is a must have. Probably not a day one but I'll be picking it up. Screenbound have the rights to a lot of this type of film so I wonder if we'll be seeing any more of them on blu-ray? Probably not.

On a related note can Indicator get around to putting out a Confessions boxed set before everyone involved dies?

Wow! That's some very grim reading. Can't wait for this set, not revisited these films since the early 2000s.

Quite bizarre, i literally watched 3 of these two weeks ago. Galaxy Affair and Come Play With Me were shockingly bad and actually very tame. Playbirds was a little bit better but the bar was set so low that's not really a recomendation.

I wonder if it might be worth taking it back to the BBFC for an 18 as part of this set. I recall a few years ago, a curated BFI DVD of a filmmaker's gay male films, some apparently hardcore, was able to get an 18, although I forget the justification used there. I realize that Screenbound are not the BFI, but perhaps in a curated set of Mary Millington films, it would be possible to get Miss Bohrloch included at 18 this way.

There's quite a few "Continental Versions" of these films listed in "Keeping the British End Up" book. Quite often any porn inserts were done with NON cast members but occasionally the XXX footage was done by some cast members e.g. Diversions.

You'll notice the action stops in some scenes and cuts to something else. I seem to remember a lesbian scene involving nurses, but it has been a very long time since I saw this.
