I tried to searh this but couldn't find any useful information so...Is it better to set my TV on Strech or Dot By Dot? And what is the difference between the two? Thanks

Makes no difference what you set it to. Some people will say that watching something dot by dot with create discoloration from the black bars on the screen. But I prefer not to have people looking short and fat.

Err.. it does make a difference. To easily see it, pop up the resolution chart from the Sony BD easter egg, and then switch between the modes.

Stick with dot by dot.

On your Sharp TV, the Stretch mode will not make people look short and fat unless you're watching a 4:3 program. In fact, with 720p sources you will not have the option of dot-by-dot so Stretch will be the best mode. Dot-by-dot is definitely the best mode for Blu-ray. Stretch mode on the Sharp is the equivalent of what Sony calls Wide. For HDTV it will depend on your sources. Originally I went with dot-by-dot, but our NBC channel has their image shifted down so you see garbage at the top of the screen. 4:3 programs on HD channels will show the closed captioning stuff at the top and will be distracting with dot-by-dot. So in our case use Wide (Stretch) for HD TV channels and Full Pixel (dot-by-dot) for Blu-ray and upconverted DVDs.
