After my Paramount released BD of The Vault (2020) got lost en route from the US, I ordered the only other BD release to date, the German one (called Crime Game) from Leonine Films after noting that it had English audio. It arrived but when I checked it out, there was a major issue with it. The English audio is there all right and the PQ and AQ are very good but the intertitles for names and places are all in German and there are no English subtitles for the Spanish dialogue of which there is a lot. There are no Englsih subtitles anyway on the disc.
I know that some discs have hidden features (like the old 'Easter Eggs' on DVDs) in the menu. Does anyone know if there is a way by wich I can get English subtitles only when Spanish is spoken? For now I can also watch the film free on my Amazon Prime account in the UK but that might soon disappear unless I buy the streamed version from them. But the BD has the advantage that I can take it with me when going to India for my winter sojourn. |
