![]() While watching the film 3 Women last week by Robert Altman I began to think about the tone and style of the film. It really reminded me of The Master by Paul Thomas Anderson. I know that PTA has stated many times that Altman was one of his biggest influences and I could really feel that influence in this film. Both films have a very dream like feel to them with melancholy or dark scores. Obviously the content of both films are very different but I feel like they have similar qualities in terms of tone and style. What other films have a similar tone or style? Please try to compare films from different directors. |
