I'm going to upgrade from my SB-1000...advice?

The two subs you have in your header are identical except one's a cylinder and the other a traditional box.....same plate amp, same driver. The cylinder will just take up less real estate.

Your call buddy. If you want to make your buddies curious when they come by, go for the PC-2000.

I just noticed you have SB, not PB.

One thing the PC will do over the SB will do is 16hz vs. 19hz

One is sealed, one is ported. I prefer sealed in a sub that strong...easier to tune for all material, and volume.

Both sound really nice.

The PB/PC-2000 will have considerably higher maximum output capability in the 18-36 Hz octave.

Either would be a good choice for a medium/larger size room with demanding action and sci-fi content at louder playback levels. You'll experience much greater amounts of slam/impact/pressure.

I would get another sb 1000. I have SVS PC13 ultra, I love it. The best location is center of front sound stage behind screen, the sound is even. if I had it to over again I would purchase 2 PC12 and locate them by each front tower. 2 subs evenly placed on front sound stage is best.

I already have a PB-1000 in a fairly large open plan room (14 X 29),, and the pb is just superb,, very happy with it.
Within the trade up period i was going to upgrade to a PB-2000 or PC 2000,, but might just get a second PB1000 ,,

You will notice a bigger difference going from the SB1000 to the PC2000.
