Default Top 10 All-Time individual male acting performances in a film.
After re-visiting the 1999 film "The Insider", it made me wonder what I would rank as my Top 10 individual acting performances of all time.


I stumbled across this site which ranks their "Top 100"

I agree with some but strongly disagree with many on the list.


What would your top 10 be?

Here are mine in no particular order:
  • Daniel Day Lewis as Daniel Plainview in There Will Be Blood.
  • Jack Nicholson as Jack Torrance in The Shining.
  • Jeff Bridges as "The Dude" in The Big Lebowski.
  • Anthony Perkins as Norman Bates in Psycho.
  • James Stewart as George Bailey in It's a Wonderful Life.
  • Tom Hanks as Chuck Noland in Cast Away.
  • Russell Crowe as Jeffrey Wigand in The Insider.
  • Denzel Washington as Rubin Carter in The Hurricane.
  • Philip Seymour Hoffman as Lancaster Dodd in The Master.
  • Anthony Hopkins as Hannibal Lecter in The Silence of the Lambs

Honorable Mention:

Morgan Freeman as Somerset in Se7en
