This site lets you sign up to get notified when a movie becomes available on blu-ray. I have been adding things off and on for YEARS now, and I believe I've only gotten one notification: Midnight In the Garden of Good & Evil is finally coming to blu.
There are three Robin Williams flicks I would buy if they were available on HD: Death to Smoochy, Bicentennial Man, and Jack. And lots of other flicks that are still languishing on DVD. To a large extent it feels like if a catalog film isn't already on blu, it likely never will be. I mean, I know they're still trickling in, but it feels like just that: a trickle. Is the door really starting to close on films other than new releases making it to blu, or is it just my false perception or bad luck because of the particular films I'm hoping for on blu? ![]() |
