Coming from Twilight Time on August 15, 2017, is the 2015 Japanese historical epic The Emperor in August. This will be a limited edition of 3000 units. Please note this title is Region A locked

Synopsis from distributor Shochiku:
On August 14th, 1945, at an Imperial conference, the Showa Emperor, Hirohito (Masahiro Motoki), finally decided to accept the Potsdam Declaration. However, some young firebrand Army officers insisted on continuing the war and conspired to launch a coup. Anami (Koji Yakusho), the Minister of War, was pressed to make an extremely difficult decision.

From director Masato Harada (The Last Samurai) and starring Koji Yakusho (13 Assassins, Tokyo Sonata) Masahiro Motoki (Departures, Gemini), and Tsutomu Yamazaki (Kagemusha, Red Beard, Tampopo) comes the dramatic story of the end of the Pacific War.
